Golf
My name is Curtis Folkman and I am the Golf Coach at Moon Valley High School.

The Moon Valley Varsity Golf Team is currently looking for incoming freshmen that are interested in being part of our team.  As a member of our team you will have the opportunity to travel around the state while playing several outstanding golf courses.  The golf season starts on the first day of school and practices will be held daily, Fridays will often be scheduled at a different course.  The school will provide all the transportation to practices and matches/tournaments.  The season will consist of approximately twelve four-way matches and two invitational tournaments.  One tournament will be the Glendale Union District Championships.  A Region Tournament and a State Tournament follow the conclusion of the regular season.

All players must complete and submit to the head coach a valid practice permit that consists of a current physical and a signed guardian consent/insurance card.  NO PLAYER SHALL PRACTICE OR COMPETE WITH OUT A VALID PRACTICE PERMIT.

All travel expenses, tournament fees and equipment are purchased from club and/or tax credit funds.  Each player is expected to support the club through either tax credit donations or fundraising activities.  Tax credits can be donated at any time during the year and are limited to $400 per married couple but do not need to come from the player’s direct family members. Part of this fundraising activity is the opportunity to volunteer at the Waste Management Open.  It is a very exciting experience.  Suggestions for other types of fundraisers are always welcome.

I hope to see you in August, and don’t forget to play some golf this summer!!
Best regards,
Curtis Folkman
