Congratulations to Crystal Ottoway and Marcos Gonzalez who placed 3rd in the Arizona SkillsUSA Robotics competition this week.  The competition required students to design and build a robot that can complete an obstacle course.  The students were also judged on their documentation and presentation of their design process.  The Moon Valley team's notebook was 90 pages in length including detailed drawings of their robot. Moon Valley is proud of Marcos and Crystal's achievement at this highly competitive event.  The team was coached by Dr. Lora Zimmer.

Also, congratulations to Josh Block who placed 2nd in the Arizona SkillsUSA Drafting competition.  This competition requires students to complete a set of mechanical blue prints and take a written test in 7 hours.  Josh is a first year drafting student and Moon Valley is very proud of his achievement.  Mr. Ryan Swartz teaches Drafting at Moon Valley High School.
