December 2013

On Wednesday, December 11 the Moon Valley Student Council will sponsor a walk to benefit the American Diabetes Association.  They hope to raise as much money as they can to reduce diabetes and increase awareness of the disease.  To accomplish this goal, they have invited every Moon Valley extracurricular club, sports team, and teacher in this endeavor.  In addition, all of the other eight Student Council groups from our Glendale Union High School District will participate.  In an effort to boost the fundraising, each school will compete against each other to raise the most.  The individual student from each school who raises the most will win a prize.

Participants will meet at Putman Field at 3:15 to check-in, and will walk laps around the track from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.  Those walking should bring a $5.00 donation in order to help the American Diabetes Association in their crusade against diabetes.  So let’s get moving and help our Moon Valley students make a difference for those affected by this disease.
