Moon Valley offers an array of technical oriented courses, one of which is Fire Sciences for those interested in a career with the Fire Department.  Our future first responders are starting out the school year by visiting the Hall of Flame which is a historical museum detailing and displaying the rich history of our country’s Fire Departments.  Attendees toured over an acre of fully restored fire apparatus which is mostly American, but also includes equipment from England, Germany, France, Austria and Japan.  Students also visited the National Hall of Firefighting Heroes which recognizes both volunteer and career firefighters who have been recognized for acts of valor or who have died in the line of duty.  This experience enriched and informed the knowledge our Fire Science students about their chosen career path, and inspired them with courageous stories about the bravery of the American Firefighter.

Heroism is not only in the man, but in the occasion.
