Moon Valley’s opening year was in 1965, making 2015, the 50th anniversary of Moon Valley High School.

As the school gears up to celebrate its 50th anniversary, a committee, consisting of teachers, administration and teacher-alumni, has been put into place to oversee the activities.

One area that the committee wants to focus on is what makes Moon Valley what it is today.

“The faculty, staff and students are the best part of Moon Valley,” Anne Kauffman, French teacher and committee member, stated. “The people here, past and present, are truly what have given me the best memories and experiences and have kept me coming back here every day with a smile on my face.”

On Saturday, April 2nd, there will be an official celebration with campus tours, a BBQ lunch, games and activities with each area having 50th anniversary theme-related activities.

Tickets to the April 2nd event are being sold for $5 and includes lunch, activities and a souvenir.
