Moon Valley will be kicking off the new school year with Curriculum Nights for our students and parents.  First, we will host a night for just our freshmen student body on Tuesday, August 19th beginning at 6:00 p.m.  While our newest Rockets will have already become well acquainted to our campus after participating in orientation on the first day of school, we invite parents and guardians to get an introduction to life in Rocket Town and meet your student’s teachers.  Then on Thursday, August 21, at 6:00 p.m. we will host the Curriculum Night for our sophomores, juniors and seniors.

Beginning at 5:45 p.m., parents will sign in and receive their child’s class schedule.  For our freshmen attendees, teachers and staff will provide information and instruction about the specially designed system of education and resources available to both pupil and parent.  Then tour the campus and learn about expectations and procedures along with information about the many sports and extracurricular clubs that enhance high school life.  Upperclassmen parents will visit their teen’s classrooms according to class schedule, where they will hear directly from each teacher about classroom expectations and policies, learn of needed supplies, and discover ways to communicate with the instructor.  Participants will also want to peruse the sports and clubs tables to help kick off the 2014-2015 school year.  Also, both nights the Media Center will be sponsoring a Book Fair.  A percentage of proceeds will facilitate the purchase of even more library books, so please come support this endeavor if you can.

Moon Valley is pleased to inaugurate a new school year and we look forward to seeing you at one of the Curriculum Nights.
