Financial Aid Night-
Thursday, January 29, will mark our annual Financial Aid
Night. Parents of juniors and seniors can attend to learn more about
financial aid options. Attendees will arrive at 6:30 in the Building 5
Conference Room, located in the middle of campus.
The road to college and career training can be hard to navigate
but we will have many professionals on hand to answer questions and provide
information about financial aid. Joi Grace from Northern Arizona
University will provide a presentation on the basics of financial aid.
Representatives from Glendale Community College and Wells Fargo will be on
hand to answer questions and provide guardians with important information about
the financial process.
Flyers and announcements will go out the second week in January to
remind parents and students about the event.
FAFSA Night-
The following week on Thursday, February 5, we will hold a
FAFSA event. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid can
be submitted online or in paper form.
Parents of seniors that attend will have the opportunity to fill
our their federal form online. Representatives from Grand Canyon
University will be on hand to help with the process and answer any
questions.
Parents are encouraged to obtain a PIN prior to the event in order
to complete the paperwork online. A pin can be obtained at
www.pin.ed.gov . The
following will also be needed in order to complete the application:
- Your/Parents Social Security Number
- Your driver’s license (if you have one)
- Your/Parents’ W-2 Forms and other records of money
earned
- Your/Parents’ Federal Income Tax Return
- You/Parents’ income records, Veterans non-education
benefit records, Child support received, Worker’s compensation, Current
bank statement, Current business, investment, mortgage, stock, bond and
other investment records
The application event begins at 6:30 in the Media Center on the
southwest corner of campus. Representatives from Wells Fargo will be on
hand to provide budgeting and financial planning information for those
interested.
